Bag That Bag--a Unique Retail Campaign
Bag That Bag is a retail campaign of the Montpelier Business Association that encourages use of reusable shopping bags over disposable paper / plastic bags by giving a nickel to a chosen charity every time a shopper refuses a disposable bag.
We’re now in our 6th month running the program, which has been very well received. We have been able to donate hundreds of dollars to our favorite local charities while also saving THOUSANDS of bags from the landfill. We hope this effort encourages discussion among our shoppers and retailers about the impact we have on the natural world.
