Sunday, September 21st 3–5pm
Camp Meade in Middlesex
Pre-registration encouraged via this link!
Have you recently moved to Montpelier or Central Vermont? You’re invited to join Montpelier Alive’s New Resident Mixer on Sunday, September 21 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM during the Feast of Fools Community Festival at Camp Meade in Middlesex.
This free, family-friendly event is a chance for newcomers to meet one another, mingle with locals, and discover more about life in Central Vermont. Stop by the Camp Meade pavilion between 3–5 PM for a complimentary drink ticket (while supplies last), a lighthearted group activity, and a warm Vermont welcome.
In 2024, Montpelier Alive started the Capital Connection for Washington County program, funded by the Vermont Department of Tourism. The Capital Connection program helps prospective Vermonters find the resources they need to learn more about the area and relocate smoothly. The program also supports new residents to connect further with their communities. Learn more on the Capital Connection webpage.
“When I moved to the area last September, the New Resident Mixer was one of the first events that made me feel welcomed and part of the community,” says Natalie Volk, Events & Volunteer Coordinator at Montpelier Alive. “It’s really meaningful to now be on the other side, helping create that same experience for others who are new to Vermont.”
The New Resident Mixer is part of the larger Feast of Fools Festival, running from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Hosted by Camp Meade and the Planetary Arts Institute, this vibrant day includes live music, circus performers, artisan vendors, food trucks, face painting, and more.
