Montpelier Restaurant Week Returns: February 15th-22nd, 2026

Winter just got a whole lot tastier! Downtown Montpelier is gearing up for its Second Annual Restaurant Week, happening Sunday, February 15th through Sunday, February 22nd. This week-long celebration spotlights the city’s vibrant culinary scene, showcasing local chefs, restaurants, cafés, and bakeries that make Montpelier such a special place to visit!

What to Expect

During Restaurant Week, 15 downtown eateries are offering special menus, prix fixe dinners, limited-time dishes, and unique deals. From cozy comfort food to creative culinary creations, there’s something for every appetite and every budget. Some highlights include:

  • Barr Hill Distillery – Cocktail specials daily plus maple dogs and half-off select appetizers.

  • Ondis – Home to the Big Max Burger and recently nominated for a James Beard award!

  • The Mad Taco – Try their Beef Chili Verde special, perfect for warming up on a chilly evening.

  • Hugo’s – Five unique burger specials, $5 prosecco on tap all week, and “buck a shuck” oysters Tue–Thu 4:30–5:30 pm.

  • Chicos Tacos – Confit duck leg carnitas taco special with mandarin/habanero salsa.

  • Oakes & Evelyn – Three-course prix fixe menu, with select bottles of wine 25% off.

Downtown Restaurant Challenge

Want to make your Restaurant Week experience even more fun? Take part in the Downtown Restaurant Challenge!

Here’s how it works:

  1. Pick up a Restaurant Challenge Card at a participating downtown eatery.

  2. Eat or drink at any 4 downtown restaurants or cafés during Restaurant Week — even a cup of coffee counts!

  3. Return your card to City Hall by February 27 to be entered to win prizes.
     

Celebrate Our Chefs & Local Talent

This year, we’re also celebrating the people behind the food. Our high school videographer intern, Ondina An, created a mini documentary featuring many of Montpelier’s restaurants, chefs, and culinary teams. Her film gives a behind-the-scenes look at the creativity, passion, and hard work that goes into making Montpelier a foodie destination. Check it out here!
